We begin our journey early in the morning, setting off on a trip through history. At 11:15, we will take a short break in the peaceful town of Eceabat and then cross the Dardanelles Strait by ferry, heading towards Troy, a land full of legends. Troy is famous for the legendary Trojan Horse and is forever linked to Helen of Sparta, the beautiful queen, and Paris, the Trojan prince. This land is intertwined with some of the greatest legends of the ancient world, where epic tales of love, betrayal, and war unfolded. The Trojan Horse stands not only as a symbol of war but also of a whole era, bearing witness to heroism and treachery that shaped history. In Troy, we will walk among ancient ruins, tracing the steps of history and uncovering the story of this legendary city. After the tour, we will return to the ferry port to cross the Dardanelles once again, bringing this historical journey to a close. At 16:45, we will head back to Istanbul, arriving at approximately 21:30, completing this unforgettable and legendary adventure.

DAY 1 – ISTANBUL – URFA | OLD CITY & MUSEUMS | GÖBEKLİTEPE

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Istanbul Airport for your flight to Şanlıurfa. Upon arrival at Şanlıurfa Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to the starting point of the tour. Your day begins in the spiritual heart of the city with visits to Halil-ur Rahman Mosque, Ayn Zeliha (Balıklıgöl – Pool of Sacred Fish), Rızvaniye Mosque, and the cave believed to be the birthplace of Prophet Abraham. We then continue through Şanlıurfa’s atmospheric historic bazaars and caravanserais, including Sipahi Bazaar, Kazzaz Bazaar, Hacı Kamil Han, Hüseiniye Bazaar, Naccar Bazaar, the Historic Customs Inn (Gümrük Hanı), Ulu Mosque, and the Culinary Museum. In the afternoon, we visit the city’s outstanding museums: Şanlıurfa Archaeology Museum and the Haleplibahçe Mosaic Museum. Our journey then continues to Göbeklitepe, one of the most important archaeological discoveries in human history. Dating back approximately 12,000 years, Göbeklitepe is widely regarded as the world’s oldest known temple complex and possibly the first pilgrimage center—transforming our understanding of the earliest human civilizations. Located in the Mesopotamian region, the site offers exceptional insight into the beliefs, symbols, and social structure of early hunter-gatherer societies through its monumental architecture and remarkable stone carvings. At the end of the tour, transfer to your hotel for check-in and overnight in Şanlıurfa. DAY 2 – HARRAN | SOĞMATAR | KARAHANTEPE – ISTANBUL

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Harran, famous for its iconic conical mud-brick houses and deep historical heritage. Here, we visit the ruins of Harran University (considered among the earliest Islamic learning centers), Harran Castle, and the ancient city walls. We also see the tomb of Hayat el-Harrani, a respected Islamic scholar. Next, we continue to Soğmatar, an important cult center from the Roman Period (2nd century AD). During the era of the Abgar Kingdom, this sacred area in the Tektek Mountains was a place of worship dedicated to the Moon and planetary gods. On-site, we explore highlights such as the Pognon Cave (associated with the Moon God Sin), the Sacred Hill with reliefs and rock-carved inscriptions, monumental mausoleums, an inner fortress, and numerous rock-cut tombs. We then visit Karahantepe, one of the newest and most exciting archaeological discoveries in the world. Believed to be approximately 400 years older than Göbeklitepe, Karahantepe offers a rare chance to witness an extraordinary excavation that is still ongoing and reshaping our understanding of early human history. After the tour, transfer to Şanlıurfa Airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
